Banjarmasin II (part 2) – Linux Remote Desktop

Two day ago, my friend gave me one question about how many user can access graphical desktop environment of Linux server from Windows client. My answer is unlimited user can access Linux desktop environment simultaneously. Windows user can access GUI of remote Linux server using some viewer like VNC Viewer. Some VNC Viewer can be downloaded for free, for example you can download Real VNC here. I’ve done some experiment using an OpenSUSE 10.3 server in my office. I tried to access the GUI using Real VNC Viewer.

Last night when I was upgrade firmware of Primepower 1500, I’ve written a document about how to access GUI environment of Linux server. You can download the document here. See how I was accessed my server using Real VNC which already installed on my Windows XP.
